Visit of the Niaux Cave
The Atelier Paleo visited the Niaux cave.
This is the first time, we hadn' t had the opportunity to visit this cave yet. It is one of the last decorated caves open to visitors and really one of the most beautiful with Lascaux, Rouffignac, Chauvet,… but not only from the point of view of the work or the technique used.
We arrive on the site of the Niaux cave by a small winding communal road that leaves a little valley and its departmental to climb the mountain. The show starts before you park the car : the cavity is monumental! We look forward the time of the visit. A few minutes later we all gather around the guide, to begin our journey to the distant times of prehistory. We enter into the cave through a small metal door that contrasts with the rock around.
All along the way, something intense emerges as if a force was invading us to prepare us for the visit of the Black Room where the energy of the place and the paintings is at its height. The paintings are magnificent and show us our roots.Animals are there, they have been painted with such realism, they move in the steppe. It was a great moment for us.
At the exit on everyone's lips the same words: "The Kepinski clan will return very soon" And for several days we will stay with the Grotte de Niaux in mind...
Next with some pictures

This is one of the many photographs you will find on the net that I have copied here.
