Teepee's assembly
This teepee is the annex of the Atelier Paleo which is installed in a yurt.
It is used to live our prehistory (it is our camp) and to welcome prehistoric workshops for young and old.
For the assembly of this teepee, we need:
- The teepee's canvases: the large outer canvas, the linner, and the ozan.
- 14 poles.
- Wood or metal posts to attach it to the ground.
- The needles to close the canvas.
- Do not forget a plastic sheet to spread the canvas on the ground, it may have rained and on a dirty floor the white canvas will not stay clean for long.
You will have to make sure to attach your teepee properly, or even disassemble it during high wind conditions. You can damage this one, regardless its aerodynamic shape. We have experienced it!
Before buying a teepee you will have to choose your canvas and you have two options.
100% cotton canvas called "traditional" and polycotton canvas.
Cotton rots quickly, very quickly and for maintenance you will need products that can be toxic.
We tested the polycotton fabric on other tent fabrics and it's really good.
Without the addition of chemicals to prevent mould.
Even if we don't like petrochemistry, without hesitation, the next teepee will be made of polycotton canvas, we must use progress when it serves us intelligently.

In conclusion:
Teepee is great, wonderful. It's the adventure in your garden.
