22nd Nontron knife festival
We participated in the 22ᵉ Nontron Knife Festival from August 1 to 7.
From Tuesday to Thursday, demonstrations and workshops followed one another in the town hall. Sometimes on holiday in Nontron, participants were able to relive the daily life of our ancestors with fire, cavern painting and adornment workshops.
We were pleased to welcome the local leisure centre for one of them. Each child left with his pendant on his neck and a smile on his face.
The fire workshop was a real course covering all prehistoric techniques. Motivation, tenacity and success were present, which pleased Yannick very much.
During the three days, young and old went away with an unforgettable memory of their experience as a Cro-Magnon.

On the knife makers' plateau, on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August, Yannick captivated the public during a journey back to the time of prehistoric man. On the program: demonstrations of flintknapping of ancestral cutting tools (from the chopper to the flint blade) and the prehistoric man's lifestyle.
All the secrets of the primitive sharpness were revealed to the spectators. The captivating and captivated audience was amazed.
Of course, we also exhibited our pieces, created for the occasion: prehistoric knives, primitive jewellery, flint and obsidian arrows and tips, with Anita's passionate and fascinating explanations.
Both days were very sunny and the mood was good!
It is with great pleasure that, for the second consecutive year, we participated in Nontron's knife festival.
